WESSLING, Germany, March 3, 2015 — Two new IR spectral sensors from Spectral Engines use Fabry-Perot tunable filter technology based on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) for detection and analysis of gases, solids and liquids.

The memsNIR and memsMIR can be applied in process quality monitoring and portable analyzers in applications such as fat, protein and moisture measurements. Moisture content is a critical quality parameter in many industrial processes, like pharmaceutical, paper and food production.

Applications also include hydrocarbon measurements in the oil and gas industry and CO2 detection in ventilation applications.

Laser 2000 GmbH is the distributor.
