MUNICH, Dec. 14, 2015 — Faraday IsolatorsQioptiq Photonics GmbH & Co. KG, an Excelitas Technologies Corp. company, has announced the FI-LO series of low-outgassing Faraday isolators, protecting lasers from back reflections.

The FI-405nm-3SC LO and FI-1030nm-3SC LO feature high optical performance and optomechanical stability, while meeting increasing requirements for laser damage threshold and contamination of laser optics.

Developed for the wavelength range from green to UV in encapsulated and high-power laser systems, low-outgassing components enhance the lifetime and reliability of optical systems. The isolators emit 25 times less volatile organic compounds than conventionally produced Faraday isolators. Optically contacted polarizers guarantee high damage threshold, combined with isolation of 35 dB and a transmittance of 95 percent.

The isolators are available for 405 and 1030 nm, with custom wavelengths available upon request.
