XI’AN, China, March 3, 2023 — Fast-axis CollimatorsThe Blue FAC 300 fast-axis collimators for high-power blue diode lasers from Focuslight Technologies Inc. feature an effective focal length of 0.3 mm and a plano-convex design.

With a 4 × 0.5 × 0.41-mm footprint, alignment and assembling can be done with the same equipment used for typical IR lenses. Originally designed for blue diode lasers in chip-on-submount formats, similar collimators at different lengths can also be customized. Wafer-based production technology produces wafers up to 300 × 300 mm², making it possible to produce tens of thousands of lenses in a two-step process.
