BARRINGTON, N.J., May 17, 2013 — Edmund Optics’ new fast axis collimators are designed for beam shaping or laser diode collimation applications.

The combination of aspheric cylindrical lens design and high numerical aperture delivers uniform collimation of the entire laser diode output while maintaining beam quality. The collimators feature a standard antireflection coating for the 790- to 990-nm range and provide greater than 99% transmission across the designated spectrum.

The collimators are 12 mm long and available in five models with focal lengths of 0.29, 0.365, 0.59, 0.91 and 1.49 mm.
