SAN DIEGO, July 10, 2014 — The Fastcam Mini UX50 from Photron Inc. is a high-speed, lightweight imaging system.

The UX50 contains a 1.3 MP sensor that operates at 2000 fps at full resolution, 2500 fps at 720 high-definition resolution and up to 160,000 fps at reduced resolution.

The camera is designed for biomechanics, life sciences, fluid dynamics, defense and aerospace research, materials sciences and on- and off-board high-speed imaging in automotive safety applications.
