Calmar Optcom is an industrial leader in ultrashort pulse lasers, e.g. femtosecond fiber laser FPL. Two form factors are available for FPL: benchtop and OEM module. FPL has a broad range of applications such as characterization of high-speed detectors, biomedical, terahertz detection, optical coherence tomography, homeland security and industrial machining, among others. In addition to the wavelength band of 1550 and 780 nm, Calmar’s newly developed 1-µm femtosecond fiber laser features wavelengths within 1020-1075 nm and a tunable range of more than 10 nm. It features pulse widths of 100 fs to 5 ps tunable, and repetition rates between 30-50 MHz. The OEM module is a very reliable, shock-proof source. It is linearly polarized and highly stable in operation. It is driven by a +5 VDC power supply and is very easy to use. The laser is of transform-limited pulse shape, low amplitude noise and pedestal. Based on this seed laser, Calmar also supplies our customers with products of high power output by integrating an amplifier.
