BOULDER, Colo., May 29, 2019 — Femtosecond LaserThe Y-Fi vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) femtosecond laser source from KM Labs Inc. delivers VUV light, allowing customers to probe material and molecular properties with flexibility and on ultrafast time scales.

The discrete 6.0- to 10.8-eV tunability of the Y-Fi enables researchers to study a wide range of materials and material properties. Pulses are produced with durations below 250 femtoseconds, and a simple computer-selected change of photon energy provides powerful capability. Its ability to easily change the laser wavelength can also enhance many experiments. Being highly focusable, the appropriate optics can be used to reach spot sizes below 10 μm.
