The CARBIDE laser from Light Conversion has increased its power to 80 W, opening up additional applications for industrial and scientific users.
Tunable parameters include pulse duration from 250 fs to 20 ps, a repetition rate from single pulse to 2 MHz, and pulse energy up to 0.8 mJ. The lasers are used for the drilling and cutting of various metals, ceramics, sapphire and glass, along with material ablation for mass-spectrometry. Applications include use in the display, automotive, LED, and medical industries, among others.
