Fiber-Based CameraThe EoSens 4FIBER camera from Mikrotron GmbH is a fiber-based camera that delivers high-speed, long-distance transmission for inspection tasks.

The fanless device delivers 4-MP resolution of 2336 × 1728 pixels at 563 fps over long distances via its MTP fiber camera-to-computer interface. Frame rates of up to 225,000 fps are possible at lower resolutions. When compared to copper cabling, fiber has low attenuation loss over long distances resulting in virtually no signal strength loss as well as immunity to electromagnetic energy.

Applications include robot positioning, ballistics and explosives, rail inspection, and recycling sorting, among others.
