Fiber-Coupled Module at 793 nm
DILAS Diode Laser Inc.
TUCSON, Ariz., Aug. 3, 2012 — Dilas’ conduction-cooled fiber-coupled diode laser module based on diode laser bars delivers 32 W from a 105-μm fiber core at a wavelength of 793 nm, with a numerical aperture of <0.22. It now offers higher brightness.
Measuring 90 × 31× 20 mm, the industry-standard package has a wall-plug efficiency of >40% at typical operating current of <60 A with a compliance voltage of 1.8 V. Standard wavelength tolerances are ±3 nm with spectral widths of <5 nm.
Applications range from fiber laser pumping to micromaterials processing to medical uses. The diode laser module is suitable for pumping thulium-doped fiber lasers and amplifiers that are used in eye-safe applications, emerging medical applications and remote sensing.
It is also offered at 35 W at 808 nm and 40 W at 976 nm from a 105-µm core diameter fiber with a numerical aperture of 0.22.
