SPARC FIRE fusion splicers from Jonard Tools are a series of splicers for core or clad-aligned, single or ribbon-fiber optical cables. CLAD, part of the series, is designed for active v-groove clad alignment, supporting a single number of fibers, and features a splice time of four seconds. CLAD has four motors and heats up at an average of 13 s. CORE is for core alignment in a single fiber. CORE takes 4 s to splice, 13 s to heat up, and features six motors. RIBBON is designed for core alignment of up to 12 fibers. RIBBON takes 7 s to splice a single fiber and 15 s to splice a ribbon fiber. It takes 20 s to heat up and features six motors.
