AVON, Conn., Oct. 6, 2014 — A new fiber optic connection and termination kit from OFS is intended for ease-of-use with industrial networks.

The LC Crimp and Cleave Connector is designed for use with the company’s hard-clad silica (HCS) and graded index HCS optical fibers, which are 100 Mb/s and Gigabit Ethernet compatible.

According to OFS, technicians with minimal fiber optic experience can use the system to rapidly install new or repair damaged fiber optic cables or to repair damaged ones.
