Fiber End Face CoatingsFiber End Face Coatings from Laser Components USA can now serve process fibers with large bending radii or large core diameters of up to 1000 µm.

An improved ion source has improved the surface quality of anti-reflection (AR) coatings. Depending on the coating and wavelength, back reflections are achieved from 0.5% to 0.2%. Fiber assemblies with coated fiber ends avoid disturbing reflections and metallizations for the hermetically sealed assembly of optical fibers in metal housings.

The coatings are available as single AR coatings, dual AR coatings, or broadband AR coatings. Coated fiber optic cables are used in power transmission, medical technology, and material processing.
