The Mentad fiber laser from RPMC Lasers Inc. is now available at 1 µm and produces pulse energies up to 50 µJ, with pulse widths from 500 ps to 1.25 µs and repetition rates from 5 kHz to 2 MHz. The laser measures 4.25 x 2.7 x 0.8 in. It also is available in a 1.5-µm model that produces up to 100 µJ of pulse energy with the same repetition rate and pulse width specs. Applications include light detection and ranging, rangefinding, telemetry, target identification, 3-D and topography scanning, and weather and pollutant detection.
