ZURICH, Nov. 5, 2014 — Answering an increased need for multiwavelength excitation lasers for microscopy, Onefive GmbH has announced its Katana HP fiber laser sources, providing a single packaging solution with multiple colors.

The first dual-color excitation system, at 532 and 635 nm, has been tested and integrated with a stimulated emission depletion (STED) laser at 775 nm. Efficient results were presented for several dyes.

The Katana platform can continuously tune the pulse repetition rate from pulse on demand up to 120 MHz. Pulse duration can range from <20 ps to 1 ns. Various wavelengths in the near-infrared, visible and UV ranges are available.
