SANTA CLARA, Calif., Aug. 14, 2023 — The HighLight FL-ARM laser series from Coherent Corp. features adjustable ring mode lasers designed for deep welding applications in battery manufacturing for electric vehicles.
The ARM lasers offer improved beam properties, longer collimated beam lengths, and smaller spot sizes, enabling high-quality deep welds with greater uniformity over large working areas. The lasers provide a high degree of weld control and higher welding speed, reducing the cost of ownership. They work seamlessly with Coherent's HIGHmotion 2D and PH20 SmartWeld+ processing heads.
