Fiber Optic Collimator/Focuser Assemblies These are the latest in Edmund Optics fiber optic components -- designed to collimate/focus light exiting a fiber to a desired beam diameter or spot size. They achieve a spot size down to a few microns by using diffraction-limited lenses. In addition, the lenses feature antireflection coating for low backreflection.

Three wavelength ranges are available, covering the UV to the IR, from 350 to 1600 nm. Two effective focal lengths also are available: 11.0 mm at 6.33 nm and 15.29 mm at 780 nm. Coupling the input and output of light from optical devices is easily handled because the units are designed for use in pairs. Models for FC and SMA connections are available. Ideal applications include fiber-coupled lasers and pigtailed receptacles.
