WALTHAM, Mass., March 2, 2016 — Fiber Optic Light SourceThe XLMii fiber optic light source from Excelitas Technologies Corp. is a compact, white light, LED light source for OEM medical applications.

The device features pre-designed configurable components that can be easily adapted to specific customer requirements. Product design for the most critical medical lighting requirements can be significantly reduced, allowing for shorter time-to-market. A high flux output of 2000 lm is features with two main fiber interfaces, optimized thermal management and XLMii coupling optics.

Applications include endoscopy, surgical microscopy and headlamp systems.
