OLCHING, Germany, Aug. 10, 2015 — Laser Components fiber optic patch cableLaser Components GmbH now offers polarization-maintaining fiber optic patch cables for use from telecom wavelengths down to approximately 450 nm.

Both passive and active fiber alignment is possible for polarization-maintaining fibers. The patch cables feature 125-μm endcaps that can be integrated in FC and FC/APC connectors. The beam-expanding endcaps result in a decrease in power density at the connector end faces.

Application areas include the industrial, medical and fiber sensor fields.
