Vytran.jpgVytran has released the PSX-3000, a portable fiber splicing workstation for use in the manufacture of fiber lasers. The system can be set up as a simple splicer or as an integrated system with a combination of cleave, clean, splice and recoat capabilities. It uses graphite filament fusion technology to provide minimal heating in high-power applications and better control of the thermal process. It offers a Windows-based laptop interface for process control and for recording splicing data.
