ASD Inc., a Panalytical company, offers the FieldSpec Dual collection software system. The commercially available full-range (350- to 2500-nm) field solution enables collection of high-quality reflectance spectra, even under variable sky conditions.

By intercalibrating and synchronizing two full-range instruments to operate as a complete spectral data collection ecosystem, the system improves the workflow and data quality paradigm of traditional field spectroscopy. It reduces inherent errors introduced by time-varying atmospheric conditions, minimizes manual reference measurements, simplifies the spectral collection workflow for goniometer research and bidirectional reflectance studies, and increases efficiency and accuracy of vicarious sensor calibration and validation measurements.
