Film-Based Light GuidesNanocomp Oy Ltd. has announced multiple thin and flexible film-based light guides for medium-size displays.

The ultra-thin light guide film for medium-size LCD backlights offers efficiency, uniformity and slimness. It measures 0.375 to 0.5 mm. A proprietary UV-R2R manufacturing process enables its features and special double-sided micro-imprinting used for the light out-coupling.

With Nanocomp's light guide technology the backlight unit can be made flexible, making a perfect match for the flexible or bendable displays.
