Filter Web PortalHORIBA Scientific has launched HORIBA Filters, an e-commerce-enabled web portal with a powerful Filter Creator tool.

The Filter Creator allows users to specify a filter type and its desired spectral and physical properties. It should take an experienced engineer no more than one minute to specify her or his ideal filter, after which he or she is required to provide contact details. The engineer will typically be contacted within 24 hours to discuss quantities, delivery time frames, and other commercial aspects.

The HORIBA Filters portal lists several hundred off-the-shelf filters. When selection is made by Filter Type, the user is presented with options that include bandpass, longpass, shortpass, notch, and dual-, triple-, and quad-pass filters. The portal also offers a Search by Application option. Here, applications include fluorescence microscopy, aerospace and defense, astronomy, machine vision, photolithography, and Raman spectroscopy.
