TOKYO, March 21, 2016 — Fingerprint SensorAsahi Glass Co. Ltd. has announced a cover glass for an in-glass fingerprint recognition sensor installed on a smartphone.

This improved security is required by smartphone-based payment services. The treated cover glass creates a thin area where a fingerprint recognition sensor is installed. The result is a cover glass with high strength, a high degree of flatness and stable fingerprint recognition operation.
