Dias Infrared Pyrospot Series 54 and 56Two new Pyrospot Series 54 and 56 fixed pyrometers from Dias Infrared Corp. provide temperature measurement in the midwave-infrared range around 5 μm, with a temperature measurement range from 100 °C to 2500 °C.

While the new models are meant for application in the glass industry, models also exist for general applications in the longwave-infrared range from 8 to 14 μm for measurements on nonmetallic surfaces and coated materials between –40 and 1000 °C.

The devices have response times of 10 ms and a small measurement field diameter as low as 2.6 mm. All devices have an analog 0/4 to 20-mA temperature linear output, a galvanically isolated RS-485 interface with Modbus RTU protocol and a maximum/minimum measurement storage.
