NEC.jpgNEC Display Solutions of America has introduced the MultiSync MD21GS-5MP flat panel monitor, which is designed for medical imaging applications, including mammography and PACS. The gray-scale display includes in-plane switching LCD module technology that offers a possible 3061 shades of gray. With a 2560 × 2048 native resolution, it includes a backlight sensor and digital imaging and communications in medicine calibration, as well as a 30-ms response time and a contrast ratio of 600:1. The pivoting stand allows landscape or portrait orientation. GammaCompMD software, supplied with the monitor, supports various sensors for calibration.
