HUDSON, N.H., July 21, 2009 – Laser Components IG Inc. has introduced its FlexPoint laser diode module Mini series. Measuring 15 mm long and 8 mm in diameter, the compact modules include protection against voltage peaks, surge and reverse voltage. The dot lasers are focusable, and they are available with output power of 1 or 4.9 mW at a wavelength of 635 or 650 nm. They are packaged in a potential-free aluminum black anodized housing that can be easily electrically integrated into a customer’s system.

LaserComponents-FLEXPOINT.jpgThe modules require a supply voltage of 4.5 to 6 VDC, and they may be equipped with analog or digital modulation up to 10 kHZ and with a control wire for power adjustment. The variable lens can be adjusted to focus or collimate a laser beam. Beam diameter at output is ~2.5 × 0.8 mm.

Power stability is <5%, power consumption is <50 mA, wire length is 500 mm, and operating temperature is from 0 to 50 °C at 650 nm and from 0 to 40 °C at 635 nm.
