VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada, Aug. 27, 2014 — FlexScan 3-D 3.3.2 software from LMI Technologies is designed to power structured light HDI 3-D scanners that capture accurate, high-resolution 3-D digital models from real-world objects.

FlexScan3-D is capable of automatically scanning once the scan target is placed and can detect movement to determine when to scan. With the mesh geometry alignment feature, two scans will align automatically, eliminating the need to manually position the scans before alignment. The device also comes equipped with photogrammetry marker exposure and motion control plugins.

Applications for the software include reverse engineering, 3-D printing, visualization or inspection.
