Fluorescence Dichroic FiltersThe TECHSPEC High Performance Fluorescence Dichroic Filters from Edmund Optics Inc. are available in 26 models in cut-on wavelengths from 409 to 850 nm in both 12.5 × 17.6- and 25.2 × 35.6-mm sizes.

The RoHS-compliant filters feature surface quality of 40-20 and an angle of incidence of 45°. Manufactured from a UV-fused silica substrate, the hard-coated filters provide an average reflection of greater than 98 percent and a transmission of  >90 percent for high peak transmission and excellent blocking of unwanted light. Perfectly matched to common fluorophores, the filters enhance fluorescence imagery for a wide range of fluorescence imaging uses.

The devices are ideally suited for fluorescence microscopy or high-magnification imaging applications.
