Lambda Research Corp. has announced the fluorescence-simulating capability available in TracePro Expert, a software tool for modeling and analyzing the propagation of light in optomechanical systems. The software addresses the design challenges presented by fluorescence-based optical systems for biosensing, in vitro and in vivo medical diagnostics, spectroscopy, microarrays, flow cytometry and microscopy. It can analyze light distribution and scatter, import fluorophore data in solution or biological tissue and analyze fluorescence effects at any point in the optomechanical system. The tool is compatible with commercially available CAD and lens design software.
