Fluorescent Protein Flashlight

DFPlight.jpgThe NightSea DFP-1 dual fluorescent protein flashlight from NightSea can be used in transgenic experiments to screen for both green and red fluorescent proteins. It includes two high-intensity LEDs, each of which is fitted with a custom interference filter. Users can turn the switch one way to produce blue light that excites green fluorescent proteins, or the other way for green light that excites red fluorescence. The flashlight comes with two pairs of barrier filter glasses, one for each LED, that block all of the reflected light and transmit the fluorescence with high contrast.
