beam shapers for kW lasers A series of refractive beam shapers Focal-πShaper_1070_Q_HP, intended to control intensity distribution of a focused spot, is optimized for operation with modern high power TEM00 CW and pulse lasers with average power of kW range. Use of sapphire as a material for optical elements allows avoiding thermally induced effects such as thermal focus shift and spherical aberration. This stabilizes microprocessing techniques based on multi-kW fiber lasers and high average power ultra-short pulse lasers: selective laser melting (SLM), drilling, patterning, microwelding, cutting, and other micromachining applications.

Beam shaping effect presumes optimizing the interference conditions in the focal area of a focusing optical system and provides Flat-top, Doughnut, and inverse-Gauss intensity profiles of focused spots, the sizes of which are similar to Gaussian spots. Compactness, built-in alignment tools, low sensitivity to misalignments and deviations of input beam size, a well-developed adjustment procedure, a variety of models for different beam sizes, the ability to operate with scanning heads, and F-theta lenses facilitate the integration of the Focal-πShaper_1070_Q_HP into existing equipment and research setups.
