jpk.jpgJPK Instruments AG has introduced the ForceRobot system to automate force spectroscopy, a single-molecule technique that allows the real-time study of molecular interactions on the nanoscale. Mounted on an integrated vibration isolation platform, the system’s head features a low-noise design and drift-minimized mechanics. It enables more than 80,000 force curve measurements in 24 h in unattended mode with customizable parameters such as temperature and loading rate. The system features an open software design for flexibility in establishing measurement and analysis protocols, and it can be monitored remotely through an Internet interface. Eliminating the need for averaging and labeling, it delivers forces and distances in absolute numbers.
