BUFFALO GROVE, Ill., July 18, 2013 — Epix Inc.’s PCIe/104 x4 Gen2 frame grabber acquires from dual deca cameras or from four base cameras. The interface transfers data to the host processor in bursts of 20 Gb/s for image capture from more than 900 Camera Link cameras.

The device features camera frame rate and triggered image sequence capture, storage of images in motherboard memory or RAID (redundant array of independent discs), line or area scan, and compatibility with Windows and Linux (32 and 64 bits).

The frame grabber measures 11.56 × 9.59 cm and is self-stacking (expands without backplanes or card cages). It is suitable for airborne, automotive, multicamera, industrial, underwater, mobile and high-data-rate applications.
