Epix.jpgEpix Inc.’s Pixci EC1 ExpressCard/54 frame grabber supports notebook computers and full-, medium- and base-configuration Camera Link cameras. The card features between 191- and 204-MB/s sustained data transfer rates, depending on notebook speed, and provides burst transfers at 250 MB/s. Camera-specific controls include exposure, bit depth, gain and frame rate. Users can control the camera in trigger or free-run modes and can store images in the motherboard memory or directly to the hard drive. The included XCAP-Lite imaging program offers video-to-disk capture based on the performance of the notebook’s hard drive.
