Saelig Co. Inc. has introduced GL Optic’s GL SPECTIS 5.0 Touch, a portable spectrophotometer that obtains light-measurement data ranging from the NIR to the UV with laboratory accuracy.

Other features include a spectral range from 200 to 1050 nm, 0.5-nm resolution, an OSR (optical stray light reduction) system for stray light reduction, and compatibility with a wide range of integrating spheres and probes for measuring almost any light source from 1 to 200,000 lx. The device does not require a computer because it instantly shows critical data on its display.

The 1.5-kg spectrometer is suitable for measuring light sources including LEDs, LED assemblies, halogen and fluorescent lamps, photobiological safety lamps and LCDs, using a range of available optical probes.
