Gen2 Polarization Stabilizers

General Photonics’ Gen2 line of polarization stabilizers is twice as fast as previous generations and exhibits enhanced noise performance.

In addition to optical feedback, the new stabilizers have an electrical feedback port to allow greater flexibility and user control. They also have front-panel displays and control panels for various applications.

With three different models available, the Gen2 line accommodates different setups and feedback mechanisms. The POS-202 two-port instrument automatically stabilizes an input signal to an internal reference state of polarization. The POST-203 three-port instrument allows users to place their own devices in the optical paths and stabilize the output using either an optical or electrical feedback signal. The POST-204 has four ports, allowing independent connections to the polarization controller and polarization monitor submodules.

With new features specifically designed for automated test equipment, the system includes robust communication interfaces and an SCPI-compliant command set.
