WATERLOO, Ontario, Canada, March 3, 2014 — Teledyne Dalsa has expanded its Genie TS series with the TS M2560, a 5-MP camera that can reach speeds up to 51 fps in fast mode. It delivers a wider feature set in a GigE Vision camera and provides in-sensor calibration for on-chip image processing and photocorrection.

The device can capture multiple regions of interest (ROI), reducing the amount of data transferred and simultaneously allowing systems to focus on events critical to the inspection. This saves on bandwidth and minimizes data transfer along the GigE link.

All features are accessible with the company’s advanced Sapera Essential or other GigE Vision-compliant third-party software.

Applications include intelligent traffic systems (ITS), entertainment, medical, food and beverage inspection, and electronics and printed circuit board (PCB) inspection.
