The updated FS series of GigE Vision^® line scan cameras from Omron Automation Americas provides Power over Ethernet functionality and Precision Time Protocol technology.

Available in 2, 4, and 8K resolutions with single-line monochrome and upcoming dual-line monochrome and color formats, the cameras feature lens configurations of F-, C-, and M42-mount lens options. With Power over Ethernet, users can supply power and transfer image data on a single Ethernet cable to help reduce system costs and simplify installation and setup. Precision Time Protocol enables more precise multi-camera triggering over an entire system by lowering the latency when multiple cameras on the same system are triggered simultaneously.

The cameras’ compact design and 58 × 58-mm frame make them ideal for a wide variety of applications including optical scanning, waterfall sorting, web and print inspection, flat panel inspection, and pick-and-place.
