BARRINGTON, N.J., Dec. 2, 2014 —
New Gires-Tournois interferometer (GTI) mirrors from Edmund Optics are optical standing wave resonators suited for chirping applications such as pulse compression.
Featuring high damage thresholds, the mirrors provide greater than 99.8 percent reflectivity for S and P polarization. All models offer surface quality of 20-10 with a surface accuracy of 1/8λ.
The mirrors use a partially reflective front surface and a highly reflective back surface to generate chromatic dispersion, allowing for higher laser output power and stability than comparable prism or grating pulse-compression systems. They feature group delay dispersion (GDD) values from -250 to -600 fs2.
Best suited for use with Yb:YAG or Yb:KGW femtosecond lasers, the mirrors can also be optimized for other laser systems, including Ti:sapphire. The mirrors are available in four RoHS-compliant, 25.4-mm-diameter models in wavelength ranges of 780 to 820 nm and 1020 to 1060 nm.
