TAUFKIRCHEN, Germany, Oct. 5, 2018 — Global Shutter CMOS Image SensorThe Sony IMX426 Pregius third-generation Global Shutter CMOS image sensor from FRAMOS GmbH provides 9-µm pixel size and reaches VGA resolution with 1,449 fps at 10-bits for maximized throughput in factory automation.

Sony’s IMX426 is a diagonal, 9.2-mm, 1/1.7 format type of imager with a square pixel pitch of 9 µm for highly saturated and sensitive images. The Pregius global shutter pixel technology for active pixel-type CMOS image sensors that use Sony’s low-noise CCD structure provides high picture quality.

Using the advantages of Sony’s third-generation features, including the high-speed interface SLVS-EC, the sensor reaches a read-out speed up to 1,594 fps at 8 bits. The chip operates with analog 3.3 V, digital 1.2 V, and interface 1.8-V triple power supply, and has low power consumption.
