Newport Corp. has added diffused gold spheres to its line of integrating spheres and mounting accessories.
Gold-coated integrating spheres provide a high level of diffuse reflectance in the wavelength range between 800 nm and 20 μm. A damage threshold four times greater than the synthetic polymer PTFE and high-thermal-limit characteristics make the gold spheres suitable for high-power applications as well.
The devices are available in 3-, 4- and 6-in. versions with 3- or 4-port configurations.
