OLCHING, Germany, July 29, 2015 — Osram green laser diodesThree green laser diodes with emission wavelengths of 520 nm are offered by Osram Opto Semiconductors GmbH for imaging and display applications.

Featuring transistor outline TO-38 ICut housing, the PL 520 monomode laser diode has an output power of 50 mW in CW operation. A pulsed version is also available. In addition to embedded solutions, it is also suited for use in cameras and head-up displays. The PLT5 520 model features a TO-56 housing for power-control purposes. Both models feature a high modulation bandwidth.

The PLP 520 multimode laser diode offers output power of 120 mW for use in home entertainment projection systems. Its TO-56 housing features an improved thermal stability with beam quality that meets the highest demands.
