Power Technology Inc. has introduced a green wavelength version of its PNF structured-light series laser module for 3-D machine vision applications. The device delivers 20-mW output power at 515 nm. Features include uniform intensity (non-Gaussian) line generators, variable focus, high wavelength and optical power stability, and continuous-wave or optional digital/analog modulation of >1 MHz. Applications include laser modules for 3-D profiling and mapping, dimensional scanning, high-speed rail and road inspection, web inspection, fluorescence and illumination.
