HOOD RIVER, Ore., May 13, 2013 — HoodTech Vision has presented the 09EO1 and 11EOIR1 gyrostabilized imaging systems for small unmanned aircraft systems and for piloted fixed-wing airplanes, blimps, and ground and surface vehicles. It is suitable for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance applications.
The 09EO1 model is a high-zoom electro-optical wavelength (from 400 to 900 nm) daylight-imaging system with an optional articulated nose enclosure for UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles). The cylinder measures 30 × 20 cm and weighs 2775 g, or 3470 g with nose enclosure. Features include multiple operating modes, 160× zoom, narrow high-frequency oscillatory ventilation to 0.3°, onboard Alticam Vision System (AVS) video processing with composite NTSC video output, and picture-in-picture display.
The 11EOIR1 model includes continuous-zoom electro-optic and mid-wave infrared imagers, laser pointer and eye-safe laser rangefinder. The four-axis gyrostabilized gimbal imaging system is a 25.4-cm sphere that weighs 5700 g with the turret enclosure. The dual-sensor 640 × 480-pixel mid-wave infrared and 720 × 480-pixel electro-optics are also compatible with the proprietary AVS video processing system featuring NTSC output. The laser beam pointer operates at 830 nm, 150 mW, 1.0 mrad; the eye-safe rangefinder operates at >2000 m on NATO target.
