The handheld device features a 640 × 512 HOT MWIR camera core and sources power from its rechargeable battery handle. The camera’s handheld functionality allows operators to hone in on targeted areas while also taking advantage of the sensor to survey the whole scene and capture a defined plume from their vantage point at a distance. The camera targets IR wavelengths absorbed by gasses including methane, propane, and butane, and produces real-time visuals.
