UHLDINGEN, Germany, Oct. 30, 2014 — New thermal IR-reflectance spectrometers from Agilent Technologies allow Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy measurements in the field.

The handheld FTIR 4300 has a spectral range of 15000 to 2500 nm.

The device is intended for industries like aerospace, automotive, coatings, energy, metal, mining and food, as well as material tracking, ground-truthing campaigns and spectral library-building in research.
