TOKYO, Feb. 23, 3025 — Furukawa FitelNinja NJ001A handheld single-fiber fusion splicer from Furukawa Electric Co. Ltd. is suited for working on local-area network and fiber-to-the-premises connections.

The FitelNinja NJ001 is designed to offer a smaller form factor and easier use than the company’s previous models for operation in demanding environments including high, narrow or dark places both inside the home and on construction sites.

It is compatible with SM, MM, DSF, NZD and BIF/UBIF fibers with diameters up to 125 μm, with a splice time of 13 s and typical heating time of 17 s for 40-mm sleeves and 20 s for 60-mm sleeves.
