BOULDER, Colo., Oct. 2, 2014 — The QualitySpec Trek from ASD Inc. is a handheld near-infrared contact spectrometer for materials recognition.

The device has a spectral range of 350 to 2500 nm, and an integrated light source eliminates the need for external illumination. It allows users to develop libraries of spectral signatures for remote sensing research to precision agriculture to defense and intelligence imaging.
