Steinbichler Optotechnik GmbH has launched a portable coordinate measuring device. The new handheld touch probe T-POINT CS is for single-point measurement. The tracking camera, handheld scanner and touch probe act as a modular system.

The touch probe measures the selected measuring points quickly, making it suitable for single-point measurements on building areas such as (trimmed) edges and ruled geometries. The system can be used with conventional measuring probes. Trigger buttons in multiple positions, an additional function button and status LEDs guarantee efficient measurement.

The compact and lightweight device is ergonomically designed. The IR markers are optimally arranged for good optical accessibility for all markers required for a measurement. The system is calibrated quickly and intuitively.

It is used in quality control/inspection, tool and mold making, design, rapid manufacturing and reverse engineering.
